A Unique and Lovely Historical Building

The Joyce Furniture Store is unique.  Once you’ve visited us, you’ll remember you were here. One display room is in a 1940′s kitchen complete with wood stove and inlaid linoleum. All the windows in the upstairs display area are covered with wooden louvered shutters from the 1880′s. In our office there is a walk-in safe from the 1900′s, along with mission-styled office furniture. All of these architectural beauties help to accent our lovely furniture. Do come and visit with us.

We offer furniture for every room in your home. If you visit our showroom you’ll discover the many styles and fabrics available. We have an in-store upholstery gallery where you can browse by color hundreds of upholstery samples. Our gallery allows you to pull the colors and textures you like and put them together to see how they look next to each other.

One of our specialties is our selection of traditional recliners.   Find your style in  leather or fabric, in just the size you need.  We have recliners for both smaller and larger frames.

The Joyce Furniture Store also sells Serta mattresses and has lots of sizes in stock.

The Joyce Stores was founded in the 1880s in Unadilla, a small village in upstate New York, more or less between Binghamton and Cooperstown. In 1918 a young man returned from service in the Navy and went to work for Mr. Joyce. In 1943 Mr. Joyce sold the store to the young man and retired.

Our Services

The Joyce Stores continued its tradition of providing quality furniture to central New York State and today is well into its third generation. The emphasis has changed, however. Today the Joyce Stores, maintaining its historical name, has become a provider of total interior furnishings. Three floors of beautiful furniture provide a rich resource for browsing as we discuss that special look and feel you want your room or rooms to have.

From Albany

Take I-88 towards Binghamton and take Exit 11, “Unadilla”

Take a right off the exit ramp and drive until you reach the bridge

Take a left off the bridge onto Rte. 7

Go approx. 1 mile and you will be in the center of Unadilla. Go to the first stoplight.

The Joyce Stores is on the corner at the stoplight on the right hand side of the street.

From Binghamton

Take I-88 towards Albany

Exit at “Unadilla”

Take a left off the exit ramp and continue until you reach Rte. 7

Turn right onto Rte. 7 (or Main Street) and continue to the first stoplight. The Joyce Stores wll be at the corner on your left.

From Norwich

Take Rte. 8 towards Sidney

At the intersection of Rte.8 and Rte.7, turn left onto Rte. 7./p>

Continue approx. 5 miles until you reach the center of Unadilla

The Joyce Stores is on the corner at the stoplight on the left hand side of the street.
