  1. Hello. I just purchsed two antique Harden Mission Oak slat sided rocking chairs. On both the Harden label and writing are clearly visible and they say order A-303 for the Joyce Stores. I thought it would be interesting, worth inquiring as to when they may have come in to your store and when you may have sold them. If you have extensive records it may be fun to try to find research this. My guess is 1900-1915, probably not much beyond that. I picked them up in Lake Placid at an antique store, about $1000 for the pair. If I knew how, I’d attach a picture. The Harden label says stock no. 157-R.

    Thanks for your time..

    • Dear Mr. Draper:
I have contacted our Harden rep regarding your recent purchase of two rockers. Harden made this style of furniture from 1910 to 1920. There was a little factory in Camden, NY where this furniture was made and it was all oak. Unfortunately, they did not continue with this style because of competition nearby.
As you have probably noticed, Harden made a nice product a hundred years ago . Even today, you can find this same quality in the many different styles that Harden now offers.

Enjoy your new piece of Harden furniture!

      Sincerely,

      Sarah-May S. Tims
